Application Of Rare Earth Permanent Magnet

Rare earth permanent magnet materials are formed by samarium rare earth metal, neodymium rare earth metal and transition metal. Such as cobalt and iron. Rare earth permanent magnet material is pressing and sintering with powder metallurgy method, then magnetized in magnetic field. Rare earth permanent magnet can divided into two types. They are SmCo permanent magnet and NdFeB permanent magnet. Magnetic energy of SmCo permanent magnet is between 15 to 30MGOe. And NdFeB permanent magnet is between 27 to 50MGOe.

With the development of computer, communications and other industries, the rare earth permanent magnet, especially for NdFeB permanent magnet has been developed fast. Rare earth permanent magnet material has  highest performance as we known. Its performance is higher than magnetic steel about 100 times. The performance of ferrite, alnico and even expensive platinum cobalt alloy are all worse than rare earth permanent magnet. Application of rare earth permanent magnet is not only improve production performance, but also has prompted some special device.

Main application of rare earth permanent magnetic materials in electrical, medical, magnetic separator, computer and peripheral equipment, various instruments, speaker and Headset, microwave devices. Emergence of rare earth permanent magnet make motor field cause revolutionary change. Because the rare earth permanent magnet has nothing excitation loss and without heat. There are many advantages for making motor.
